Individuals and Families Facing Food Insecurities Fund
Our mission at One Nation Dream Makers (ONDM) is to bring nutritious food to all individuals and families in need.
Since 2017, our nonprofit organization (ONDM), based in Livermore, California, has been committed to Food Recovery and Distribution Delivery. We currently recover and bring nutritious food to those community members in need. We primarily serve people who inhabit Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, Hayward, Livermore, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Alameda, Dublin, Fremont, Newark, San Leandro and the Union City communities.
Due to our depleting federal COVID-19 funding, ONDM is seeking ways to meet our immediate financial needs so we can continue to support the vulnerable individuals and families in our community. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of vulnerable individuals and their families will continue to face food insecurity, as they face huge federal and state benefit cuts, such as CalFresh and the Alameda County Rent Eviction Moratorium Ordinance lifted in April 2023. While ONDM is fortunate enough to have funding assistance on the way in a few months, from Congressman Eric Swalwell and with consistent help from other local organizations, there is still an immediate need. Here at ONDM, our day-to-day financial obligations still need to be met. Our expenses are about $90,000 a month, and right now we are not meeting this financial target.
ONDM is thankful to have its many volunteers to help pack and distribute food to local communities. However, ONDM still has a small, but mighty workforce of 18 paid staff members. Our trucks need fuel to recover food and make deliveries, and we have heavy insurance and liability costs.
In order to continue to feed and support those in need, we NEED your help. Please consider helping us at One Nation Dream Makers, to continue to provide food distribution and meal delivery services that will help meet the growing food and nutritional needs of veterans, home-bound seniors, youth, medically vulnerable individuals, and individuals and families that are experiencing food insecurity and hunger; in short to assist anyone with food insecurity residing within Alameda County.
Thank you in advance for your support. No donation is too small, every bit helps us continue our mission!
OUR GOAL: $200,000
