Another Year to be Thankful

Happy Independence Day America!

On July 4th, 2015, I was arrested for the last time for being under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Today, I celebrate 8 years of being clean and sober. It was not just an arrest; I was rescued! God did for me what I could not do for myself.

James 2:26 says, "Faith without works is dead," so faith with works is alive! All I purpose to do with my life now is to pay it forward and help those in need. Then, I leave the rest to God because where God guides, He provides. I laid down my life for our country, and now I lay down my life for our communities.

Special thanks to my darling wife, Zenny, "my BFF," and Sandee Munroe, our Director of Operations, for being patient with me as God isn't finished with me yet. Also, a shoutout to my parents who will celebrate 68 years of marriage on July 16th, my siblings, my children, their spouses, and my grandchildren for enduring my PTSD recovery one day at a time. And God bless all of you, friends and family, who love on me and on One Nation Dream Makers vision every day! It takes a village. Lastly, thank you, Camp Parks Commander Lt. Colonel Chalas, and your entourage for your continued support and for yesterday's amazing pre-4th of July extravaganza celebration. Courtney Ellington, Executive Director of One Vet One Voice, rocked the house. Have a safe and fun day. Please drink responsibly and please don't drink and drive! Happy 4th of July!
